If my transmission is failing or giving me slight problems now do I really need a whole new transmission?
In a lot of cases our mechanics can pinpoint minor wear and tear or locate an issue with certain components and make minor repairs to get you back on the road again at a very low cost compared to installing a whole new transmission. We have a reputation for helping our customers is unprecedented in Fort Lauderdale. While many shops just take the easy and most profitable route, we are here to create customer loyalty by being trustworthy. When we get a customer who needs a second opinion, we often find that the repairs are easily completed without installing a new transmission or doing major rebuilds.
If my "Check Engine" light comes on and my transmission is having issues, can this this confirm a transmission issue?
Most likely when the two instances occur simultaneously it indicates a problem with your vehicle's transmission but not in every circumstance. Read more about the Transmission Power control module and how we make an assessment to determine the exact problem within your transmission.
I drive a manual transmission, Do you work on those as well?
We are a full service transmission repair shop with expertise in automatic transmission repairs as well as manual transmission repairs for cars and trucks. Just because your transmission may be acting up doesn't mean it is a transmission problem. It could be your clutch or parts associated with that part of your vehicle.
Will I have any extra costs that are not on my quote at the end of my repairs?
You won't be surprised by added fees or costs that you did not authorize at Fort Lauderdale Transmission Repair. We are courteous and fair in our communication throughout the diagnostic check & repair process so at the end of the day you will come away happy that you were able to trust us and rely on our integrity.
