The tractor trailer towing team received a phone call at 4AM from a customer in New Caney, TX. A tractor trailer towing team was immediately dispatched to the customers location with a 25-ton heavy wrecker. Once the tractor trailer towing team arrived on scene, they were able to fully assess the situation. A tractor trailer carrying 40,000 lb of cargo to a big-box store’s distribution center missed a turn. The driver of the truck decided to perform a u-turn maneuver in a nearby gas station. The parking lot did not have enough space so the tractor trailer driver did not swing the trailer wide enough. The tractor trailer ended up with it’s driver-side wheels in a ditch. The awkward angle caused the passenger-side tractor wheels to lift off the ground. On Site’s tractor trailer towing team hooked up to two contact points at the back of the trailer. After 20 minutes of rigging, they began the lifting and repositioning process. Over the next 30 minutes, the tractor trailer towing team slowly lifted and moved the trailer. They had to reposition their truck twice to maintain a safe angle.
