Why is my Overdrive Light Flashing?

The transmission has sent a signal to the computer that there is a solenoid, sensor, or clutch failure in the transmission. You would need to bring it in and we can scan and diagnose it. We would then be able to advise you of which part was failing.

Does my vehicle even have a computer?

Chances are, YES!! All vehicles since 1985 have an Onboard Computer that controls Engine and Transmission Functions. Even some vehicles prior to 1985 may have a computer.

Why should I get my transmission serviced?

Just like changing your motor oil, you need to change your transmission fluid. Over time things begin to wear out and you may have debris (metal and clutch material) in your filter, pan and fluid that need to be cleaned out. Also, if your transmission has become too hot, you could have burned fluid. Servicing helps your transmission last longer and perform better.

What is included in transmission service?

We drain your old fluid, inspect and clean the pan, replace the pan gasket, install a new filter and fill it with new fluid. (Please be aware that some transmissions may take fluids that are specific to them, not just regular ATF). We are specialized in staying up to date with ALL the changes needed and using the correct parts and fluids for each transmission to help it continue working at its best.

Why is my transmission rumbling, grinding, and making noise?

Transmissions have bearings, gears, drums, and shafts that could be wearing out or are broken. The sooner you bring it in for us to diagnose and repair the better. This could cause worse damage if left unchecked!
