This is a question we commonly receive. Upon receiving your insurance paperwork and check, you notice that your deductible has been deducted. Your initial instinct may be to assume that you've already paid it. However, this is not the case. Let's illustrate with a simple example: Suppose the repairs cost $1000. According to your insurance agreement, you are responsible for paying your deductible. If your deductible is $250, the insurance company will reimburse you $1000 - $250. Your responsibility is to cover the full repair cost of $1000, of which $250 is your deductible. Therefore, when the vehicle is repaired, your total bill amounts to $1000. You would provide the repair shop with your insurance check for $750 and a separate check for your deductible of $250 to settle the repair bill.

Do you report to CarFax?

No. Anything repaired in our shop without involving an insurance claim is not reported to CarFax. While some insurance companies may report hail damage claims, not all of them do. If you use your insurance for a minor collision claim, your insurance might report it, but HM Dent Works does not.

Can I wait in the lobby for my dent repair?

When we schedule your door ding repair it is generally a 1 day repair. Minor Collision and Hail Damage can take a little more time. We schedule by the day and not by the hour so we ask that you bring your vehicle in the morning and pick it up later in the afternoon. We do not do door ding repair while you wait.
