You should never install a new tint over an old one. The removal process of an old tint may be scary to some, but in the right hands it is not at all complicated. It is best to do it before you consider installing new tints and we recommend that you head to a tint professional or a your preferred car shop to get it seamlessly done and without straining your glass windows. Getting new window tints installed over old or pre-existing ones is just a recipe for disaster and a complete waste of money and time. Most professionals who are not looking for a quick buck will probably advise against it. This is because installing new tints over old ones will result in discoloration and bumpiness, especially if it is an aftermarket product.This could also affect the opacity of your tints’ shade. Plus, the old one will most likely deteriorate earlier and affect the lifetime of the new tints.
