All tires are manufactured with a DOT number stamped on the sidewall of the tire. It can be 10,11, or 12 digits. The first group of numbers are the manufactures code so they can track the plant where they were manufactured. The last four digits are the most important. They represent the date when the tire was made. The tire in this picture was made in the 13th week of 2020. Tires usually should be replaced when they are approximately five years of age or older. We submit the customers information to the manufacture of the tire in case of a defect. This way the manufacture can contact the owner if there is a recall.
