Universal’s newest theme park will be opening in Orlando in 2025, and we are looking at all the details :) According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC Universal’s CEO of Universal Destinations & Experiences — Mark Woodbury — has shared new details about this upcoming theme park. Woodbury revealed that the new park is the “most technologically advanced park” yet for Universal. So, what kind of advanced technology will they utilize when it opens? For one, they will use “facial recognition, photo validation technology” so that guests can have a “frictionless experience” in the parks. While we don’t have details about how they will use this technology exactly, it is a big step forward from what we are seeing in the parks today. Overall, this park is expected to be the most advanced out of all the Universal parks, which “speaks to both the attractions themselves, the next generation of robotics drone technology, all the way through to the guest experience.” In terms of hotels, “Universal’s Helios Grand Hotel,” “Universal Stella Nova Resort,” and “Universal Terra Luna Resort” are possible additions we could expect to pop up, and according to Woodbury, the park will have “unprecedented” hotel integration into the park experience. Epic Universe will also be different than what we’ve seen at other Universal properties because it will utilize the hub-and-spoke layout that was made popular by Disney.
