James always wanted to learn how to paint cars so he decided to go to school for it. With a small loan to buy a compressor, he started working on cars on his driveway at home. He saved some money and was able to open Primer Auto Body in February 2012. It all started in a 1 space garage until he was able to relocate to La Mesa. James has been operating this location for the past 3 years and looks forward to expanding the business.

I needed an entire door replaced and James worked with me to make sure it would look like nothing ever happened in the first place!
James and his guys did such an amazing job when my truck was smashed by a flying truck bed cover, that when I decided I wanted a different color on my hood there was no doubt in my mind where I wanted to take it.
I highly recommend Primer Auto Body for your true professional experience with James and his crew.
Not a place you want to be frequently but if I ever have any auto body repairs needed again, I am definitely coming back.
The pieces brought in were part of a Mercedes AMG build that I wanted nothing but a factory look from, and these guys were able to do it properly and at a great price.
