Reefer Rescue LLC
Reefer Rescue was founded by Derek Capps in 2019. Growing up in the Transport Refrigeration Industry, at the age of 14 Derek began simple shop jobs such as sweeping and dumping trash, painting and keeping things tidy. From there, he began shadowing seasoned Reefer Techs, learning the trade. He was given the job of rebuilding system components such as compressors, throttling valves, fan shafts and jack shafts. Later, he began performing Preventative Maintenance on the units, and some light diagnostic work. While in high school, he attended an HVAC program through Vo-Tech to broaden his skill set.
