This year, Riechers Tire and Auto is proud to be celebrating over 85 years of successful business. It all began in October 1939, when Fred and Anna Riechers opened Riechers Service Station in South Point on Hwy. 100, just east of Washington. Tires were patched for 25¢, and all the work was done outside, even the oil changes. Gas prices were between 12¢ and 15¢ per gallon, and you could buy a bottle of soda for 5¢.
