In 1999 Randy Arndorfer was working at a Toyota dealership as a technician. Prior to that he was a service manager at a GM dealership. Randy found a vacant building for rent on Southern Blvd in Rio Rancho in the late spring of 1999. Having had worked at a dealership for many years, Randy saw the need for "dealer level" service, at a discounted price in the Rio Rancho area. Randy opened Rio Rancho Imports on July 5, 1999. Originally, Rio Rancho Imports serviced primarily European and Japanese cars, and now service all makes models. Seven years later, Randy purchased the land and built the facility Rio Rancho Imports is now operating from.
