After multiple fruitless calls throughout the day and evening to Freightliner, and vain attempts to troubleshoot the problem myself at night in the cold and snow, I accepted the fact that we were going to finish this cross-country trip with the slides closed, climbing over the furniture.
I'm grateful that no matter the hour or day, I can count on Shannon's Twisted Steel Garage for about anything.
Went in to purchase the part from them and they gave it to me for free.
