During the recession in 2008, our founder Joe Garcia was working at Beaverton GMC and decided he wanted to change the industry. He had to deal with a lot of politics and executives calling the shots while he was stuck trying to lead others on the front lines. This became more and more difficult as people were trying to get into the industry but there wasn't any work to be done due to people losing jobs and needing to save money. So he started Transmissions Unlimited where he specialized in transmissions and general auto repair and maintenance. He was the heavy line mechanic at Beaverton GMC working on transmission repairs and diesel repairs. He wanted to provide better ways of communication to our customers and more options if needed such as used parts and finding multiple suppliers...
