RV Repair and Maintenance in Desoto, TX

RV AC cleaning involves similar tasks to cleaning a home AC unit, but with some adjustments for its rooftop placement and mobile environment. Here's a breakdown: Cleaning an RV AC unit: Air Filter: This is the most crucial and frequent cleaning step. Check your owner's manual for the location, typically behind a removable panel on the air distribution box. Frequency: For frequent RV users (full-time or regular campers), clean the filter at least monthly. Less frequent users can manage with quarterly cleaning (every 3-4 months). Full Unit Cleaning: This is a more comprehensive cleaning performed less often than the filter. It's recommended to have a professional perform this at least annually. The cleaning includes: Condenser Coils (outside): Located beneath the rooftop shroud, these coils expel heat and need debris like leaves and dirt removed. A professional will thoroughly clean them. Evaporator Coils (inside): These coils cool the air inside the RV. While less prone to outdoor debris, they can accumulate dust over time. A professional can assess and clean them if needed. Overall Inspection: A technician will check electrical components, refrigerant levels, and ensure proper operation.
