RV maintenance 101: (Lubricating your slide-outs) Many neglect checking seal positioning after extending or retracting their slides and they often forget to lubricate them. If you're going to have slide issues, these two maintenance musts will most likely be the culprits. Also, always make sure your RV is level to avoid puddling above the slide. If water builds up against the slide and slide gasket it will eventually find its way in. Remember, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
