2015 Hyundai Sonata Headlights Not Working This Hyundai came in with no headlights working. After lifting the hood, we knew why! Some critters found their way into the engine compartment and made a nest on the shield that protects the bottom of the engine. Once the shield was removed, we saw how big they built their nest and found the wires to the headlights that had become a snack. If you live in a wooded area and experience electrical problems with your car, little critters may be the cause. The engine bay is a warm place for them live. The headlights had to be rewired but are now working.
