ASM Global Asks And Receives Help In Hiring Off-Duty Officers For Minnesota Vikings Games The Minneapolis Sports Facilities Authority has agreed to work with ASM Global, the company that brings you U.S Bank Stadium security and other events at your favorite sports facility! This is great news for all of us who love going out see our beloved Vikings play football or basketball-- because it means there will be even more peace officers on-site than before so things can go smoothly no matter what happens during gameplay. The MPD and ASM have not given a specific number of officers that are typically staffing games, but it is said they rely on roughly 100 off-duty police personnel to work in the stadium each night. However, this changed over time as more retired or left for other departments which led them down reaching about 70 cops per game last season. With help from Hennepin County Sheriff's Deputies who were assigned there after 2020 saw an increase in the number exiting at local agencies amongst other things causing stress within our communities.
