Today, Jarrell Fire along with Jarrell PD, Wilco SO, DPS, Georgetown Fire, Wilco EMS, PHI Air Ambulance and local wrecker services responded to IH-35 northbound for a report of an overturned garbage truck. nn On arrival Jarrell PD officer notice the seriousness of the situation and quickly called for a large wrecker to the scene in addition to the units from Jarrell Fire. nn Jarrell Fire Crews arrived and found a single occupant entrapped in the truck with his legs stuck under the vehicle. The crews and agencies worked cooperatively to lift the heavy truck with the assistance of the heavy wreckers and rescue equipment from Georgetown and Jarrell Fire. Crews were able to carefully remove the patient who was then air lifted to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment as needed. Last report from the air medical crew is that the patient is expected to be OK. nn We would like to thank all crews on this event.
