Are you wondering why your cars Cruise Control isn’t working? It could be caused by several things 1. There may be physical damage to part of the Cruise Control Module. All parts wear out over time but Florida heat can accelerate parts failure 2. A Blown Fuse Electronically-controlled cruise control systems have a fuse that can fail if there's an electrical problem. Replacing the blown fuse may solve the issue; but, if it blows again, there's likely a bigger electrical problem 3. The “Speed Sensor” is damaged. The speed sensor does exactly what it sounds like. It’s in charge of sensing how fast your vehicle is moving. If it's damaged, the Cruise Control system won’t work properly, can affect your speedometer, and should be fixed as soon possible. 4. The switch on the Brake Pedal is faulty The Brake Pedal switch is what makes sure that the brake lights turn on when you step on the brake. This switch is also an important part of the Cruise Control. Stepping on the brakes turns off cruise control, and a broken switch may send out a faulty signal preventing the cruise control from working. additionally, a broken brake pedal switch may also mean that your Brake Lights are constantly on.
