Does my windshield need to be repaired or replaced?

Usually, chips the size of a quarter or larger can be repaired without having to replace the entire windshield. If a chip is larger than that or is a deeper crack, the windshield will likely need to be entirely replaced.

How long after my repair/replacement do I have to wait before I wash my car?
