When Ed Wright established British Motor Mechanics in San Francisco the year was 1960. The cars shown above would have been available as new, right off the showroom floor. In 1972, the shop was moved to San Rafael, and renamed British Car Repair. We have been busy maintaining and repairing English cars for nearly 50 years. Clint, grew up locally, attended Stanford University and then returned to run the business. As a second generation family business we have developed close ties with customers and the community and continue to provide the best service possible. We look forward to meeting you, discussing your car and as always, supplying a written cost estimate for services in advance. We enjoy complete classic car restoration projects. Please ask us for a tour of some of our projects...

Sentiment Analysis
Clint is a thoughtful manager who was helpful on many levels.
Clint and his team fixed what had to be fixed.
Great if you need something done simple and quick but also willing to help out with the more in depth projects.
They always go the extra mile, treat me with respect, and deliver great service at a fair price.
Staff were respectful, knowledgeable, professional; shop was clean.
The owner, Clint, went way out of his way and made essentially two (2) "house calls" on my car when I couldn't get it started and while it was in a radio shop being fitted for sound matting material!
If you can afford to own a vintage british car that is extinct then u can afford their prices...
Trustworthy, knowledgeable, honest and most importantly make sure your vehicle is safe to drive.
Best service ever.
I thought that I needed either a new clutch or transmission, turns out, he taught me how to shift in a manner that prolongs the life of the transmission, keeps me on the road, and keeps dollars in my pocket.
