CalTracs were designed for high performance drag racing. Running your vehicle on the street may produce a rattle. If this bothers you, before preload adjustments, install a piece of 3/4 inch heater hose fit to the length of the roll pin. This will cushion it against the bar to help reduce rattle. CalTracs for Trucks have a rubber bushing installed to reduce this effect without interfering with the effectivity of our Traction Bars. If you run your truck without weight in the back, you may still notice a slight rattle on acceleration. This is normal. CAUTION: Do not over-tighten the bolts or rod ends; these need to move freely for CalTracs to work without binding.
