FAQs

Is it normal for CalTracs to rattle when I drive my vehicle on the street?

CalTracs were designed for high performance drag racing. Running your vehicle on the street may produce a rattle. If this bothers you, before preload adjustments, install a piece of 3/4 inch heater hose fit to the length of the roll pin. This will cushion it against the bar to help reduce rattle. CalTracs for Trucks have a rubber bushing installed to reduce this effect without interfering with the effectivity of our Traction Bars. If you run your truck without weight in the back, you may still notice a slight rattle on acceleration. This is normal. CAUTION: Do not over-tighten the bolts or rod ends; these need to move freely for CalTracs to work without binding.

Can I order separate replacement parts?

Replacement parts for CalTracs, including pivot plates, rod ends, force transfer links, rear mounts, u-bolts, and Big Link kits are available separately on the CalTracs Replacement Parts Page.

How do I get a photo of my car on Calvert Racing's website?

Go to the Customer Gallery Page for complete instructions about submitting your photo to be used on the Calvert Racing website and for other marketing/ advertising. Large (at least 1,000 pixels wide), high res (300 dpi), clear photos with the entire vehicle are preferred. Complete instructions are on our GALLERY pages. Please note that photos must be EMAILED. Submitting through our Facebook page sometimes leads to compressed and distorted photos. Please note that not all submitted photos will be selected for use. Rejected photos are usually too small, are low resolution, are not framed properly, have people in the foreground in front of the car, or are not in focus. Submissions with incomplete information will not be considered.

We try to answer commonly asked questions like these on the FAQ page of our website.
