First, the phone was answered immediately and we explained everything the customer was telling us the engine was doing. We got a trouble code off the unit and they were able to quickly obtain the parts that we suspected had failed (an ignition coil on a Ford engine) and got right out to our customers. Onsite diagnosis confirmed our suspicions and the problem was fixed at a rest area and our customers were happily on their way again – all in about an hour which is unheard of for roadside response and repairs! Not only was the problem fixed so quickly, they took the time to help calm our customers and explain ignition coils just sometimes fail on Fords and there is nothing anyone could do about it or prevent it.
