Collision Repair in Rochester, MN

Here are our top preventative maintenance tips to keep your truck running great! 1. Check Fluid Levels-This only takes a few minutes and is an easy way to avoid any major problems. If there are any drops between fluid levels, that’s a good indication that you have a problem that needs to be addressed before it is a bigger issue 2. Change Fluids-The frequency of changing your fluids depends on the miles you drive, weight of your load and the type of driving you do. Always follow the manufacturer’s suggestion for changing fluids. 3. Verify Tire Pressures-Be sure that your tires are inflated correctly to avoid any problems in the future. Doing so will maximize fuel economy as well as provide the best traction and braking possible. 4. Check Your Tires-Be sure to add a tire condition and tread depth check into your preventative maintenance plan. Tire wear can cause problems with the truck’s alignment or suspension. 5. Inspect Your Brakes-Frequently check brakes and make sure to replace them when they reach minimum wear condition. 6. Check Air Filters-Clogged air filters reduce the amount of air reaching the engine. This will then reduce the power and lower fuel economy. Be sure to change your air filter regularly. 7. Inspect Exterior Lighting-Replace burnt out bulbs before you hit the road! Adding this to your preventative maintenance checks can prevent further problems with your brake, signal, or hazard lights.
