FAQ
Do years in business matter for transmission work?
Ten or more years in business is claimed by 18 of the 24 shops here. Rebuild quality is hands-on skill, and a shop that has been in one place a long time is easier to hold to a warranty. It is what their listings state, not a guarantee.
What customers say about mechanics in Concord
- “Saved me thousands of dollars by diagnosing and fixing the problem, rather than just replacing the whole transmission.” — customer of Mekatron
- “Really appreciate his expertise and his kindness. He steered me away from the type of used vehicle I was considering based on transmission problems he has seen them develop at a certain mileage.” — customer of Contra Costa Auto Service
- “From here its not a short story, from the time it was new I never liked the way the clutch engaged, (in other words it was faulty from the showroom) the clutch engages better now than it ever has.” — customer of Acme Auto Repair
