Auto Repair in Puyallup, WA

When to Seek Engine Repair in Puyallup Noisy Operation Engines naturally make a humming sound when the car is in motion. However, sounds that deviate from the steady hum may indicate problems with the cylinders, bearings, or other part. Abnormal sounds include grinding, squealing, and clanking. These sounds may occur as you change speeds, come to a stop, apply the brakes, etc. There’s Smoke Examine the exhaust smoke from the tailpipe. The smoke should be a clearish grey. If it appears bluish, a smoky white, or black like charcoal, then there may be something wrong with the oil, coolant, or even the gasoline. Loss of Power The car may feel less powerful. This may manifest in the form of slower acceleration. Behind the wheel, it may feel like you’re putting in more effort to get the car to respond to your commands. The engine may also stall; this is especially true for vehicles with manual transmissions. Metal in Oil When you drain the oil during an oil change, you may notice tiny metal flakes. This may be a sign of metal grinding, leading to friction. A technician will need to inspect the engine upon discovery of metal flakes. Do You Need Engine Repair in Puyallup?
