Does getting my battery repaired or replaced void my tesla warranty?

In most cases when your HV battery needs to be serviced it will already be outside of the warranty period. If in the case that your vehicle is still under warranty, after the repair process the HV battery warranty will be covered in-house by EV's Republic. All other warranty items will continue to be covered with your original Tesla warranty. We also offer in-house comprehensive Tesla warranty that includes HV battery and drive unit.

What range can I expect from a replacement or repair?

With HV battery repair you can expect to return the original range prior to failure, for example prior to HV battery failure the vehicle had 75% capacity, once repairs are performed you will continue to keep the same capacity of 75%. In the case of replacement, your range will depend on the kW that you select. All of our HV battery inventory is tested to ensure that you have 80% or greater capacity. In all replacement cases your HV battery range will either match or increase from the original range you had prior to failure. In the case of HV battery upgrade you will increase your range to the selected kW upgrade.

How much does it cost to replace the HV battery?

The labor cost to replace the HV battery on the Model S/X is $1200, including programming. For the Model 3/Y the labor cost is $2200, including programming.

Can I make a claim as soon as EV's Warranty is Purchased?

There is a cool-off period of 30 Days before the warranty can be used. During this period you can receive a full refund without any prorated fees or any cancellation fees.
