Metro students band together to create "Winter Wonderland" for 200 north Minneapolis kids The inauguration of a plan to bring happiness and joy to the K-5 students of Nellie Stone Johnson in north Minneapolis has been met with overwhelming support, especially from five high schools in the Twin Cities. Founded by John Baker, the nonprofit organization Be the Change MN seeks to affect change - and brighten up Nellie Stone Johnson - with aid from these local teens. Mc Kenzie Mc Moore, a Benilde-St. Margaret’s sophomore, expresses that anyone who can should contribute what they can toward making such a timely change, while trying to make disadvantaged children feel joyful during this holiday season. To further this aim and collectively spread even more cheer across the city, other students are encouraged to join in on this effort and help add more presents for those 200 elementary school pupils!
